The project
The Blue Collar Tour is a nationwide tour from Western Welding Academy in Gillette, Wyoming, a school that teaches the trades to the next generation. The tour brings a live welding show to high schools, technical schools and communities across the country, to show students that the blue-collar trades are a career to be proud of, and that they're cool.
Our part
Mountain Sky Media went on the road as Western Welding Academy's primary content creation partner for two tours, in 2022 and 2023. We traveled across the United States with the crew, filming interviews with students, instructors and welders, aerials from the road and high-energy hype recaps of the shows. That content went on to fill the academy's fast-growing social channels.
